Fall is Upon Us

New music is flowing through our veins right now. We're barely keeping up with it and don't want to let it get away. Its a good thing we practice at Alchemie Audio so we can get a good demo of anything that might come to the surface in between recording already written tunes and warming up for the next show.

Speaking of that. We'll be at the Riot Room in Kansas City on Wednesday of this next week (Sept. 7th) We'll be rocking the outdoor stage with headliner, Gringo Star and guests Leisure Boys from Denver, CO and Kansas City's own Rachel Mallin & the Wild Type. We're honored to be a part. Our set will be fairly early for those of you who have to get up early for work the next day. We're no stranger to that. There is an indoor stage show going on too so there should be no boredom to be had. We hope to see your beautiful face there if you're in the area!

Future Kings We Are

We are Future Kings and we're glad to have you here. We've written many chapters in this book and this next one is developing. If you didn't know, our name is taken from the T.H. White book, The Once and Future King. It's a collection of books all about King Arthur and Merlin. I read it in high school and it's actually quite comical in spots. Anyway, the last year met us with yet more big changes, but hey we've been there before, no big deal, the story continues.

Like most musicians these days all of us have a lot on our plate. We hit up our studio and recording space, Alchemie Audio, to work together. That's what we do. It's all about collaboration, playing to every person's strengths and supporting each other. The main focus right now is on writing new songs (there are about 5 we've been working up) and now that some of them are becoming more polished and we've been playing them live it's time to start recording. Some of the first tracking sessions were also filmed and we hope to share those with you soon. That's what we've been doing the last few weeks and we'll be keeping you up to date with what's going on.

In the meantime, we are playing May 19th at Davey's Uptown here in Kansas City with Ivory Black and Some Good News From Kansas.
